On October 2, in celebration of the Hebrew holiday Yom Kippur, we invite you to a Shofar education session. During the event, Tadas Daujotas will introduce the history of this ritual instrument and its integration into contemporary and academic music, while bayan virtuoso Yevgenii Musijets will perform Jewish folk melodies.

On October 2, in observance of the Hebrew holiday Yom Kippur, the Vilnius Shalom Festival invites you to a Shofar education event. During the event, Tadas Daujotas, who plays the ancient Hebrew horns – shofars, will introduce the history of this ritual instrument and its integration into contemporary and academic music. Bayan virtuoso Yevgenii Musijets will perform soul-touching Jewish folk melodies.
Tadas Daujotas is an event organizer, producer, music recording publisher, shofar player, scriptwriter, composer and lyricist, and initiator of various cultural projects. He has been playing the shofar since 2009, when his desire to popularize this ancient instrument and integrate its sounds into contemporary music was born.
