This year, in celebration of composer Anatoly Shenderov’s 80th birthday, the Vilnius Shalom Festival invites you to a special concert at the Vilnius Choral Synagogue, where Maestro’s works will be performed by tenor Rafail Karpis, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė, and the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra of the Vilnius City Municipality.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of distinguished Litvak composer and national award laureate Anatolijus Šenderovas. To celebrate, the Vilnius Shalom Festival presents a special concert at the Vilnius Choral Synagogue featuring performances by tenor Rafailas Karpis, violinist Dalia Dedinskaitė, and the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra of Vilnius City Municipality under the direction of Modestas Barkauskas.
Rafailas Karpis
Rafailas Karpis began his musical career in the boys’ choir “Ąžuoliukas.” He earned his master’s degree in vocal performance at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2007 under Prof. Virgilijus Noreika. An award-winning soloist in Lithuania and abroad, he received the Golden Stage Cross in 2020 and the Order “For Merits to Lithuania” in 2024.
